The primary aim of ALBERTIANA
is to promote the interdisciplinary collaboration and understanding
among the members of the IUGS Subcommission on Triassic Stratigraphy. Within
this scope ALBERTIANA serves both as a newsletter
for the announcement of general information and as a platform for discussion
of developments in the field of Triassic stratigraphy. ALBERTIANA
thus encourages the publication of contributions in which information is
presented relevant to current interdisciplinary Triassic research and at
provides a forum for short, relevant articles such as:

The Subcommission on Triassic Stratigraphy is part of the Commission on Stratigraphy of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). Founded in 1961, the IUGS is one of the world's largest and most active non-governmental scientific organizations. The Union promotes and supports the study of geological problems of world-wide significance, and facilitates international and interdisciplinary cooperation in the earth sciences. A prominent member of the International Council of Scientific Unions, the IUGS has more than 110 national members. |

is published twice a year by the Laboratory of Palaeobotany and
Palynology Utrecht for the Subcommission on Triassic Stratigraphy. The
