Leaves linear, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 2-3 mm broad, the apex rounded or emarginate. Mature cones ovoid, 1.5-2.5 cm long, the scales suborbicular, lustrous yellowish brown, the margins sliglitly irregularly serrate. Seeds 7 mm long including the wing" (3).RangeTaiwan: Ilan, Kaoxiung, Miaoli, Nantou, Pingtung, Taichung, and Xinchu Xian (from 22:36N to 24:29N and from 120:44E to 121:16E) at 1250-3536m. Commonly occurs in mixed broadleaf and conifer forest, dominated by Yushania, Juniperus and Tsuga. (2).
